Tamarack Goldens is owned by Kathy Whipple. I purchased our first Golden Retriever, Cosmo, from Debbie Berry of Sunshine Goldens.

We are not a “commercial” breeder and I do not sell overseas. I breed only one to two litters a year as it is a huge commitment and one that I take very seriously.

As a member of the Golden Retriever Club of America, I follow a strict Breeders Code of Ethics. My goal is to produce dogs that are of sound mind and body, of excellent temperament, intelligence, beauty, and that are true to type as described in the breed standard. All my dogs in my breeding program are screened for hip and elbow dysplasia and are certified normal by the Orthopedic Foundation of Animals. We screen for Subvalvular Aortic Stenosis and other heart abnormalities by a Board Certified Cardiologist and have annual eye clearances done by a Board Certified Ophthalmologist.
